Who we are.

What we are not.

Core Principles:

1. Country First.

Moderate Republicans is a growing caucus of citizens within the Republican Party who proudly uphold the traditions of Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Eisenhower. Many of us are lifelong Republicans who believe the party is strongest when it is principled, pragmatic, forward-looking, and capable of governing.

We believe in the enduring values that have long defined the best of the Republican tradition:

  • Limited government and fiscal responsibility

  • Transparency and accountability in public service

  • Free enterprise, innovation, and economic opportunity

  • National defense and American leadership in the world

  • Personal freedom, privacy, and personal responsibility

We apply these principles in ways that reflect the realities of modern life and the diverse perspectives of today’s electorate. We are united by patriotism, seriousness of purpose, and a shared commitment to a Republican Party that is civil, responsible, and focused on real solutions rather than performative politics.

We welcome debate, encourage intellectual independence, and believe the best ideas emerge through principled discussion, mutual respect, and shared purpose.

We are not a new party, and we are not in revolt against the Republican Party. We are loyal Republicans committed to strengthening and renewing the party we have long called home.

We are not interested in political extremism, empty rhetoric, or division for its own sake. We believe in compromise when it advances the public good, but never at the expense of our core principles. Our goal is to elevate responsible leadership, restore credibility, and help guide the party toward a more constructive and durable future.

As John Adams warned, "There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution." That warning is relevant today. Our politics should be guided not by blind allegiance, but by judgment, integrity, and devotion to the country.

There is no single ideology required to belong here. Moderate Republicans bring a wide range of views and experiences, but we are united by several core principles that define our approach to leadership and public life.

Our highest loyalty is to the United States, its Constitution, its people, and its future. Party affiliation matters, but it must never come before the national interest. We believe public service should be rooted in patriotism, duty, and a sincere commitment to the common good.

2. Problem Solving.

Moderate Republicans are action-oriented and solutions-driven. They have the courage to experiment with new ideas in tangible ways, because they recognize that innovative technologies and ideas are necessary to continue America's leading role in the world. We believe leaders should confront problems honestly, think creatively, and pursue practical reforms that improve people’s lives. Serious challenges require serious ideas, not slogans.

3. Consensus Building.

We value debate, but also professionalism, diplomacy, and results. Lasting progress is built through dialogue, persuasion, and coalition-building. We are willing to accept incremental advancement of our causes through compromise when needed to move the country forward.

4. Critical Thinking.

We reject groupthink and political conformity. We deserve leaders who think freely and independently, who weigh evidence carefully, and form conclusions based on reason and judgment. A healthy political party should encourage thoughtful disagreement, not punish it.

5. Truth Seeking.

We believe truth matters. Facts matter. Evidence matters. Moderate Republicans are loyal to the truth and always seek to defend it. They do not reject science or manipulate data. Public leaders have a responsibility to pursue truth honestly and communicate it clearly, regardless of convenience.

6. Long-Term Views.

Short-term election cycles often undermine long-term priorities. We recognize the country’s long-term needs and value the strategic planning required to build enduring national strength.

7. Optimism.

Moderate Republicans believe in the character and promise of the United States. We approach the future with optimism, grounded in a deep appreciation for our nation’s founding ideals and historical progress. We choose to see America not through a lens of cynicism, but with a belief in its capacity to improve, to unify, and to lead. Positive thinking fuels innovation, resilience, and civic engagement and we are committed to cultivating a forward-looking, hopeful spirit in our politics and among our people.

Modern thinking, timeless values.
